Nomination for Volunteer of the Year

As a committee member of CCDA I would like to nominate Amanda Gallen as "Volunteer of the Year". Through late 2007 and 2008 Amanda helped our club with scoring duties and at McLean Clinics. The very first time she volunteered to lend a hand she originally offered to help for half the day to score. Amanda ended up helping for almost the full day not only adding up papers, but placing the test, recording scores on the score shed list as well as the score board for our competitors. Her enthusiasm was fantastic and she just couldn't do enough to help us. And to top it off she was such a friendly down to earth lady with a great sense of humour and she fitted in well with the rest of the crew who were working in the score shed then. From there Amanda continued to help out competition after competition with the same enthusiasm and again here half days tended to run into almost a full day. Recently she has been very busy in other areas of her life, as her mother has just passed away. I would like to thank Amanda very much on behalf of CCDA for her amazing support as a volunteer and believe she is a very worthy winner of the Volunteer of the Year award for 2008!
